- 💧 Water is the baseline with a BHI of 100%, meaning it hydrates you efficiently.
- 🥛 Drinks with a BHI above 100%, like milk, hydrate better thanks to nutrients and slower digestion.
- ☕️ Drinks with a BHI below 100%, like coffee, hydrate less because caffeine has a mild diuretic effect.
So even if you drink the same amount of different drinks (like coffee and milk), they can affect hydration differently.
